Review: RearViz Bike Mirrors

May 24, 2016
Now that the weather is getting warmer, more and more families are enjoying time outdoors on their bikes. Obviously we want to be safe while on the road and the RearViz is a great tool to help you bike safer.

RearViz is a weather resistant bicycle mirror that can be worn on the biker's arm, using an adjustable armband to keep it in place. It has been ergonomically designed to be adjusted to suit all arm sizes and arm positioning, allowing the user to have rear vision through a range of rear view angles and perspectives. Being mounted on the arm permits the user to engage the widest part of the body, which allows the most rear view vision.

I asked a friend who is an avid biker to try the RearViz for me and she was an immediate fan.

"The RearViz is a great idea. Even with Chicago's protected bike lanes, sneaky quiet Priuses lurk behind cyclists at stop lights, startling even alert cyclists when the light changes. I like having the rear view mirror, and had thought of getting one for my handlebars. However, between the "hey I'm here" bell and the drink holder, my handlebars were getting crowded, never mind the fact that something sticking out from the side of the bike making it wider makes it harder to park at work. I like the long strap for the mirror that could accommodate my "beefy" upper arm, but I prefer to have it on my forearm. When biking around town, I need to get a sense of the large truck looming behind me so that I can see if changing lanes is an option and the RearViz allows me to do that! All in all a great idea, and a great product."
