LEAD CONTAMINATION

Oriental Packing Co., Inc. has recalled approximately 377,000 lbs. of blended seasoning curry products because it is contaminated with lead. Brands affected by the recall are Blue Mountain Country, Jamaican Choice, Ocho Rios, Oriental Brand and Grace. You can see all spice blends included in the recall here. If you have purchased this product, dispose of it following EPA and/or state and county regulations. You may also return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. LISTERIA RISK

Cambridge Farms, LLC has recalled three brands of frozen cut corn. The affected brands have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Products included in the recall are Laura Lynn Frozen Cut Corn, Key Food Frozen Cut Corn and Better Valu Frozen Cut Corn. If you have this product, do not eat it! ALLERGY ALERT

Beyond Better Foods, LLC is recalling Enlightened brand Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip ice cream because they may have been packaged in Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream containers and thus contain undeclared peanuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. If you purchased mislabeled Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip ice cream in an Enlightened brand Mint Chocolate Chip container, return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. TIP-OVER HAZARD

Sauder Woodworking has issued a recall on their four-drawer wooden chests sold under the Storybook brand. The recalled chests are unstable unless they are properly anchored to the wall, posing a serious tip-over and entrapment hazard that could result in death or serious injuries to children. If you have one of these chest of drawers, immediately stop using it if it is not properly anchored to the wall and place it in an area that children cannot access. HEAD INJURY HAZARD

Xenith has recalled Epic Varsity, X2 Varsity, X2E Varsity and Youth football helmets with a gloss or metallic-painted polycarbonate shell. The shells of the football helmets can crack, posing a risk of head injuries to football players. Football players should immediately stop using the recalled helmets. Players, coaches and parents should contact Xenith at 800.956.9022 to receive a free new replacement helmet.
