Multiple Meat Products Recalled Due to Possible Lysteria

It may be time to clean out the meat drawer in your refrigerator! Manda Packing Company is recalling approximately 468,000 pounds of meat, including: roast beef, turkey, ham, tasso pork, hog head cheese, corned beef, ham shanks and pastrami. These foods may be contaminated with Listeria monocytongenes, which can cause the potentially fatal lysteria illness. Symptoms of lysteria include headache, stiff neck, fever and nausea. Lysteria may also contribute to the risk of miscarriage or stillbirth in pregnant women.

Check the Food Safety & Inspection Service Web site for further information, including brand names and lot numbers of the products being recalled. If you have any of these products, throw out any opened packages immediately, and return any unopened packages to the place of purchase for a refund.

Botulism Risk Prompts Smoked Herring & Pickled Herring Recall

If you have Little Mermaid Smoked Herring or Pickled Herring products in your home, get rid of them!
